Do life coaches need to have qualifications?

Life coaching is currently an unregulated profession in the UK, meaning anyone can essentially call themselves a life coach. Because of this, it’s wise to do your research. My aim is to reassure you that I have over 750+ hours of coaching experience, ran business coaching groups for 18 months and seen the success and transformation of my clients both in life & business.

On Life Coach Directory you’ll only find life coaches who have either provided evidence of a membership with a recognised professional body or sent us copies of relevant qualifications and insurance cover.

I have heard of many 'coaches' who announce 'I am in my fifties I don't need a qualification, I already know everything there is to know about life', this may be true, but a qualified coach will know what, when and how to ask the right questions to facilitate the most powerful results.

With ME you get the both - qualifications and over 50 years of 'life experience'.

What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is thought to be one of the most effective and accessible self-help methods to come from modern psychology.
NLP was Co-created by Dr. Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the mid-1970s. Many life coaches, like ME use NLP techniques to help 'reprogramme' clients' patterns of thinking and behaving.

NLP works on the basis of assessing a client's perception of the world and adapting our behaviour and reactions to enable us to live a happy, desired life.  The Accreditation and qualification I hold has been signed and approved by Dr. Richard Bandler himself.

What is the EMCC?

The EMCC exists to develop, promote, and set the expectation of best practice in mentoring, coaching, and supervision globally for the benefit of society. The EMCC vision is to be the ‘go to’ body in mentoring, coaching, and supervision. The Coaching qualification I achieved is accredited by The EMCC

What is a Psychologies Ambassador?

n 2017  I was honoured to be invited to become one of only 47 Psychologies Ambassadors globally. I have blogged about my journey on how to grow and thrive, not just survive in life in The Life Leap Club  Psychologies and ME believe that with a little assistance, backing and inspiration from like-minded people, we can start to take the baby steps needed to construct a life we love.

The Psychologies' ambassadors are creating a life they love, overcome hurdles and have made it through to happier times.
The Ambassadors now lead the Life Leap Club community (available for free to all subscribers)  with over 1.5K members.

I also run a Face to Face Life Leap Club that meets monthly in Reigate, Surrey, to discuss topics and articles together, sharing stories and listening.
